What an exciting weekend in Lewiston, Atlanta, and Hillman, Michigan! The crowd was packed at the quarry as well as the show of cars in Atlanta and downtown Lewiston.
It was my first time experiencing the Sno*Drift Rally up North.
Not much of an outdoor winter type gal, it was refreshing for me to meet so many seasoned winter rally goers. They came as couples, families, and friends. The participants and visitors were from out of state and out of the country. They came to support their rally car and friends at the event. The ages were young and old. Rally goers came by car, by truck, by bus, by four-wheelers and by snow-mobiles!
The Sno*Drift Rally Team was really happy that we had almost double the contestants of last year, the most in all previous years. Even our Thayer Mazda 'warm-up' tent was more packed than last year. Luckily, we had popcorn and chairs and seating for all the goers to enjoy. They also had vendors next to our tent and official rally gear for the viewers.
Still waiting to hear from other rally goers and photos that they took. There was also a Rally America Magazine team of photographers that I met as well.
It was so nice to meet the Rallly America Team, other members of the Sno*Drift Team and the local area police force and residents. The snow was beautiful! Layers and layers and blankets and sunscreens and face masks and such an array of hats.
Ralph Thayer Mazda had a really great time and we look forward to the event next year!
Photos to come shortly! Those will be posted on our Facebook accounts and in our Events News and Views section of our website main page soon.

Sno*Drift last year was excellent turn-out and this year is working up to be twice as many race participants and that also means twice as many spectators and guests in Montmorency County!
It is only a few weeks away and the excitement is really here. It is a celebration of the snows in Michigan as well as rally racing and fun spectator times for family, friends and rally car enthusiasts.

Rally racing is a high speed contest of production cars racing on closed underdeveloped roads in any weather conditions. Cars will jump and slide through the course to achieve the fastest time possible. Rally racing events take place over hundreds of miles over the course of a weekend. This extreme test of skill, speed and endurance is what makes rally racing the world’s premiere and most exciting motor sport, one that is quickly growing in North America.
