Places To Celebrate The Fourth of July In Metro Detroit! ​

Plymouth Township fireworks

Pack up the family, bring along a picnic dinner and settle down to await this dazzling free fireworks display on July 3 at 10:15 pm at Plymouth Township Park, 46640 Ann Arbor Trail (between Sheldon and Beck Rds.)

Good Old Fashioned July 4th Picnic

Spend the day during 4th of July enjoying games and tasty treats like hot dogs and ice cream. The festivities run from 11 am to 4 pm on July 4 at Plymouth Township Park, 46640 Ann Arbor Trail.

Salute to America at Greenfield Village

Taking place from Thursday-Sunday, June 30-July 3 from 6 to 10 pm daily, this fun-for-everyone event features games, children’s activities, Detroit Symphony Orchestra music, including a fireworks’ display highlighted by Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, among other songs. The event is free for kids 2 and younger. It is located at Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford, 20900 Oakwood Blvd., Dearborn.

Freedom Fireworks at Addison Oaks County Park

Enjoy this 4th of July celebration from July 1-4. Every night see a fireworks display. There will also be plenty of family fun for everyone, including face painting, wagon rides, team games, inflatables, a DJ and even a bicycle parade. The festivities will be held at Addison Oaks County Park, 1480 W. Romeo Road, Leonard.

Sylvan Lake Fireworks

Sponsored by the Oakland County Boat Club, this July 3 fireworks extravaganza shoots off from a barge in the center Sylvan Lake. The fireworks start at 10 pm. The event is free, although donations are welcome. See the show at 2330 Ferndale St., Sylvan Lake.

4th of July Parade

Enjoy a lively 4th of July parade down Main Street in Downtown Plymouth on July 4, beginning at 9:00 am. Wave to parade-goers as they march by during this fun event.
